SPRINGFIELD — Residents of Effingham and the surrounding area who think they may be experiencing a stroke have life-saving treatment available right here, in our community.
The Georgia Department of Public Health has designated Effingham Health System as one of only 12 Remote Stroke Treatment Centers in Georgia.
Stroke care in our Level IV Trauma Center includes rapid screening, diagnosis and intervention for patients experiencing an acute stroke. Since minutes matter for stroke patients, this is a major step forward in the transformation of healthcare for our community.
See the June 13 edition of the Effingham Herald for more details.
