The Effingham County Rebels baseball team tallied six first-inning runs en route to an 11-5 Region 2-AAAAAA win over Richmond Hill on Thursday in Springfield.

Jerid Stokes, Zach Wilson, Cullen Wake, Chandler Hinely and Colton Long knocked in runs during the early rally.

Stokes and Christian Campbell finished with two hits apiece.

Long was the pitcher of record for the Rebels, allowinging two runs and three hits over three frames. Blake Vincent threw the fnal four innings.
