The red line follows the route of the Fourth of July parade.

The city of Rincon is holding their annual Fourth of July parade on Saturday, June 30 beginning at 10 a.m.

The parade begins at Macomber Park, goes down Lexington Avenue, then turns right on 4th Street. At Highway 21, the route turns left and continues until 9th Street where it turns left. While on 9th, the parade will take it's final turn and head towards Rincon Elementary.

Rincon City Council voted unanimously Monday to approve its first pay raise in 14 years, increasing council members’ pay to $750 per month and the mayor’s pay to $950 per month starting next year. The raises will apply to those elected in November, when three council seats and the mayor’s office will be on the ballot.
