Funeral arrangements have been made for a mother and daughter who died Sunday in a car crash in Effingham County.

Megan Kessler, 30, a special education teacher at Effingham County High School, and her mother, Marlys Strempke, 54, died when their van was struck by a pickup truck on Old Augusta Road. Two teenagers in the pickup were seriously injured.

The visitation for Kessler and Strempke will be Saturday from 12:30-2 p.m. at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home in Rincon. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
