SPRINGFIELD -- The public is invited to a Nov. 18 groundbreaking ceremony for Josh Reddick Field.
Reddick, an outfielder for the world champion Houston Astros and a Rincon native, donated nearly $1 million to build an artificial turf baseball field for children with special needs. It will be located at the Clarence E. Morgan Sports Complex under construction on the west side of Hwy 21 in Springfield.
The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m.. Light refreshments will be served.
