GUYTON -- As weather allows, McLendon Enterprises Inc. will shift traffic into the new single-lane roundabout configuration at State Route (SR) 119/Springfield Avenue and SR 17/Central Boulevard Wednesday.

This moves the traffic pattern from a four-way stop setup to the new roundabout, allowing construction of the center island.

The $3.4 million Effingham County project has a December 2018 completion date.
