SPRINGFIELD — The Effingham County girls basketball team is gearing up for a competitive bout of games in the Deep South Classic. The three-day tournament will take place at Brookwood starting Thursday.
The Lady Rebels will take on Cherokee in their opener. Other participants include Dacula, Hillgrove and Northview. Senior Emma Hartzog has her eyes set on another team, however.
“The bracket is intimidating but I’m just ready to play ball and show them what we are made of,” Hartzog said.
