RINCON — The Effingham Herald office at 586 Columbia Ave., Suite 13, has struck by weekend gunfire again. A bullet hole was discovered Sunday morning during a routine cleaning session. The bullet entered the office near the floor after richocheting off the sidewalk a few feet from the entrance. Slight damage was done to the carpet, a desk and a file holder. In May, a large window and glass door were destroyed by three gunshots. A desk, a paper cutter and the office air-conditioner were also struck. The Herald was also hit by a bullet in June 2017.
