Hospital pharmacist facing multiple felony charges

SPRINGFIELD -- According to multiple reports, an Effingham Health System pharmacist was arrested by the Springfield Police Department on Tuesday and is facing dozens of felony drug charges.

The counts against Durwin Nuvelle Logan involve unauthorized distribution of controlled substances/use of fictitious registration number, possession of a schedule I controlled substance, manufacture/possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance, or marijuana near a park/housing project, and use of communication facility in commission of a felony involving controlled substances.

Springfield police declined to comment on the ongoing investigation.

Logan remains in the Effingham County Jail.
