RINCON -- The ribbon was cut on a new dental facility at 135 Goshen Road #205 on Monday.

iHeart Dental, featuring Dr. Misty Seale, will start taking patients at 8 a.m. Wednesday. Walk-ins are welcome.

Seale graduated from the Medical College of Georgia, College of Dental Medicine in Augusta with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. She has extensive experience working as a general dentist and performing a wide range of procedures including preventative, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry.  

iHeart Dental will make a donation to the Nine Line Foundation for each new patient it gets. The foundation supports severely wounded veterans.

Rep. Buddy Carter spoke publicly about the loss of his granddaughters' cousin in the Texas flooding.
U.S. Rep. Buddy Carter, R-Ga., who represents Effingham County, said his twin granddaughters survived catastrophic flooding at Camp Mystic in Texas, but their 9-year-old cousin, Janie Hunt, was killed. Carter shared the heartbreaking news on social media and in interviews with Fox News, CNN, and Atlanta News First, revealing that Janie’s body was found on her mother’s birthday. Carter said his granddaughters survived by climbing onto a roof and waiting for rescue.
