Members of Aspiring Leaders receive certificates

The 2016-2017 members of the Effingham County School District’s Aspiring Leaders program received a Certificate of Distinguished Completion for meeting all requirements of this yearlong leadership program.

Aspiring Leaders, a cohort comprised of potential teacher leaders chosen from across each of school in the district, is a program that serves to recruit, cultivate and retain highly effective leaders within the system. Throughout the one-year program, these teachers are exposed to a variety of aspects of school leadership in order to prepare for roles with increased responsibilities.

Members of the Aspiring Leaders program are (standing from left) are Mary Ann Ridgley-Thornton, Jennifer Lyerly, Matthew Huntley, Brett Griffin, Shelly Hobbs, Melissa Roddenberry, Stephanie Tant, Krystle Shuman, Jessica Javo, Suzanne Benson, Jessica Foster, Mark Weese, Bobbie Tootle, Cheryl Zettler, Patsy Owens, Kirby Ratner, Sayra Stone-Harris and Anthony Murray.
