Narcotics probe results in 34 felony arrests

SPRINGFIELD — On Thursday, the Springfield Police Department ended a lengthy narcotics investigation led by Sgt. James Woodcock.
Police Chief Paul Wynn was crucial and active in the eight-month probe, as were all the Springfield Police Department officers.
The investigation concluded with 34 felony arrest warrants and one search warrant. It was conducted on eight suspects acting independently.
The suspects were involved in the distribution of marijuana, molly, cocaine, methamphetamine and stolen firearms.
Several suspects resided in the county and the Effingham Sheriff's Office assisted in their apprehension.
