SPRINGFIELD -- Food and fun intersected at The Local on Laurel on Friday.

About a dozen restaurants and caterers offered some of their most tantalizing items inside the venue, and nearly that many food trucks and vendors did likewise outside it during "A Taste of Effingham," the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce's annual culinary concoction.

The related "A Night if Effingham" featured a street dance led by the music of Flashback, the Party Band and there were also activities for children.
