Polls will be open today from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

In Rincon, the ballot is headed by a mayoral race between incumbent Ken Lee and Kevin Exley. In addition, four candidates -- Ben Blackwell, Levi Scott, Damon Rahn and Paul Wendelken-- are fighting for three spots on the Rincon City Council.

Guyton voters have a liquor referendum and the Guyton City Council Post 4 race to consider. The Post 4 candidates are incumbent Michael Johnson and Andy Harville.

Residents of Effingham County Board of Education District 2 will choose a candidate to fill the remainder of a term vacated by Troy Alford in June. The hopefuls are Jan Landing and Jeff Schielke.

Effingham County voters will determine the fate of a proposed $80 million SPLOST extension and a  “Freeport” exemption to the ad valorem tax on e-commerce inventory.
