RINCON -- The Rincon City Council kicked off the new year in a festive mood.

A cake decorated with the city seal and other refreshments were served Tuesday after Mayor Ken Lee, Ann Daniel, Levi Scott and Kevin Exley were sworn in after winning their elections last fall.

Exley, the lone newcomer to the council, was sworn in by Lee, who said he looked forward to working with the group. The mayor, sworn in by City Attorney Raymond Dickey, is starting his fourth term.

Exley won the seat previously held by Christi Ricker, who tried to unseat Lee.
