Rincon Police to hold Operation Take Back

For the second time, the Rincon Police Department is partnering with the Drug Enforcement Agency and other government, community, public health and law enforcement organizations in a nationwide prescription drug “Take Back” initiative that seeks to prevent increased pill abuse and theft. In conjunction with the DEA, Rincon Police Department will collect potentially dangerous, expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction April 30 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Rincon Police Department, 107 West 17th St. The service is free and anonymous, and no questions will be asked. Destruction of the materials will be accomplished in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
