SPRINGFIELD -- Springfield Elementary School participated in the one of the world's largest sporting events — the 2018 Stack Up! — on Thursday. Thousands of students from around the world joined in an effort to set a Guiness world record in sport stacking,  an energizing, brain-activating activity using plastic cups. The goal was 625,000 stackers.

The students will soon learn if they surpassed a record they helped set last year.
