The Office of Child Support Services at 1 Courtland St. in Statesboro has closed. The closure is because of its relocation to its new office at 34 Hill St., Statesboro. Due to the relocation planned for early 2008, the current office will be closed during the months of December and January. All staff will be temporarily reassigned to other state offices in the surrounding area.

“Although we hate to inconvenience any members of the community,” says OCSS Director Keith Horton. “We feel that this relocation is a positive move for both the community and our employees.”

This relocation will provide a more efficient work environment for its employees and a better service delivery environment for the community. Persons requesting child support services should access the Web site at www.ocse.dhr.georgia.gov or contact the OCSS call center at 1-800-227-7993. Additionally, there will be staff from the Statesboro OCSS working out of the local Department of Labor to assist custodial parents.

The Bulloch County Division of Family and Children’s Services office will also have staff on hand to assist non-custodial parents. Both locations can be visited Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

The Ogeechee Statesboro office serves the counties of Bulloch, Effingham, Jenkins and Screven.
