‘Sunmed | Your CBD Store’ in Rincon celebrates fifth anniversary

RINCON -- Sunmed | Your CBD Store is celebrating five successful years as Rincon’s CBD and wellness destination. To mark this celebratory milestone, the store is hosting a four-day event from Sept. 25-28. The community is invited to join in on the fun while supporting local businesses.

The anniversary event will officially start with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25.

Throughout the four-day celebration, customers can enjoy 20% off all Sunmed products, with an additional 10% discount available when a pet food item is donated. (Donated pet food will be given to the Effingham County Animal Shelter.) During the celebration, the store will offer light refreshments, music, and free CBD samples.

Rincon City Council voted unanimously Monday to approve its first pay raise in 14 years, increasing council members’ pay to $750 per month and the mayor’s pay to $950 per month starting next year. The raises will apply to those elected in November, when three council seats and the mayor’s office will be on the ballot.
