United Way of the Coastal Empire hosted its 15th Annual Golf Tournament on June 4 at The Club at Savannah Harbor.

Each year, the golf tournament is instrumental in jump-starting the United Way fundraising campaign, as it builds awareness of the community based programs and non-profit member agencies that United Way supports throughout the Coastal Empire.

A record number of golf teams, comprised of community leaders and United Way supporters, joined together to enjoy a day of fun in the sun and raise more than $24,000 to reinvest in community health and human services.

Prizes were awarded to the top three teams and low gross, 18 hole challenge winners, as well as an eagle chance drawing and prize raffle.

All proceeds benefit the United Way of the Coastal Empire to support more than 90 community oriented programs in Bryan, Chatham, Effingham and Liberty counties and fulfill their mission “To Improve Lives By Mobilizing The Caring Power of Communities.”
