White to challenge Decker for school board

The Effingham County Board of Education’s 5th District will be contested in the May non-partisan election.

Incumbent Vickie Decker has qualified to run again, and Rev. Delmons White also has qualified to run for the position on the board.

Lamar Allen has qualified for re-election to his seat as the District 3 representative

Other qualifiers for local offices include Beth Rahn Mosley for probate court judge.

The nonpartisan elections will be held May 24.

Carter shared the heartbreaking news on social media and in interviews with Fox News, CNN, and Atlanta News First, revealing that Janie’s body was found on her mother’s birthday. Carter said his granddaughters survived by climbing onto a roof and waiting for rescue.
