Good news abounds for Rincon Fire Department
RINCON — A spate of good news has been gushing from the Rincon Fire Department hydrant in 2018.Chief Corey Rahn and Capt. Lou Reed recently offered an inside look into some of the positive things that have happened for the department recently. In January, it purchased a 2007 Pierce Arrow XT that is housed at Station 1 and has been officially dubbed Engine 12.The Rincon Fire Department consists of four main stations, each located on a different road that also serves as a boundary for the areas they service.The departments response area covers 90.6 square miles and contains a total of 207.16 miles of road. The area extends from the four firehouse locations on West 17th Street, Ebenezer Road, Goshen Road and Blue Jay Road.
