Over the past six years, Sen. Saxby Chambliss has provided much needed leadership on many of our nation’s most pressing issues. While many other members of Congress continue to talk about high gas prices, Saxby has taken action by bringing together a bipartisan group of Republicans and Democrats to find a real solution to our nation’s energy needs. He supports domestic oil exploration, drilling in America’s known oil reserves, building new refineries, and continued research and development of alternative fuels.

Saxby has also continued to work to keep taxes low for Georgia’s families and he has fought to make tax cuts permanent. Along with reducing taxes, Saxby has strongly supported our men and women in uniform. He introduced the Wounded Warrior Assistance Act of 2007 to make certain that the medical needs of wounded servicemen and women are properly met without bureaucratic interference. He also worked with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to open additional community-based outpatient clinics throughout Georgia.

Saxby understands the strain illegal immigration places on our economy and believes we must secure our borders and enforce our current immigration laws.

In 2008, Saxby was an original cosponsor of a Senate bill that would provide individuals with tax incentives so that they can afford to purchase their own health insurance. He has also fought to protect the PeachCare program for Georgia’s uninsured children.

Sen. Chambliss has proven himself as an effective national leader, a protector of our conservative Georgia values and most importantly a man of high moral values. Please join me in helping to re-elect Sen. Chambliss in November so he can continue to represent us as our United States senator.
