Dear Editor,

Family and friends of Tami Davis Hart would like to express their thank you to the people who helped with her fund.

We would like to update you to how things are going at this point. Tami had part of her pancreas and her whole spleen removed in April in hopes that this would be enough to move her in the direction of recovery. But the effort failed.

She is now going to be having the rest of her pancreas removed and is getting an islet cell transplant. We ask that you keep her in your prayers because this is a long difficult surgery (minimum 10 hours).

We will also be leaving the “Tami Davis Hart” fund account at BB&T open because she will be making several trips before the surgery and many, many more after the surgery to Emory. Any amount that you can donate will be greatly appreciated as the money donated before was appreciated more than you can know.
