STATESBORO — The 2010 Georgia Southern University softball season will feature the Georgia Southern Eagle Classic and six home series.
“We are excited about the level of competition our schedule allows us to meet. We have several top 50 teams, and more competition against the top 100 teams in the country,” said head coach Maggie Johnson. “It's so important to put ourselves up against teams that have reached the level of competition we are working toward. Combined with a tough Southern Conference schedule, we have much work to do in preparation.”
The season kicks off with the GSU Eagle Classic (Feb. 19-21).
The Eagles will face a number of instate opponents including Georgia State, Super Regional participant Georgia Tech, College World Series participant Georgia, Mercer and Kennesaw State.
