Women’s soccer
Loralee Powell (Louisburg College) — The sophomore midfielder at the North Carolina two-year school has two goals and seven assists on the season for the Lady Hurricanes. Powell is fourth on the team in assists. The Lady Canes are 9-4 on the season. They will open the NJCAA Region X tournament Saturday at home.

Football
Jeff Hamilton (Mississippi College) — The sophomore quarterback has two rushes for 17 yards for the Choctaws this season.

Josh Jackson (Mississippi College) — The sophomore wide receiver had two catches for 22 yards in a 26-7 win over East Texas Baptist. Jackson has 59 yards on five receptions this season. The Choctaws (6-1) are ranked No. 17 in the AFCA Division III poll .
