GUYTON -- South Effingham pitcher Nick Milbrandt rendered the Islands Sharks toothless Monday night.
The Mustangs' big right-hander tossed a complete-game shutout, allowing just five hits and striking out six in a 9-0 win. He didn't issue a walk while dropping the Sharks to 0-6.
Nick Duke supported Milbrandt's stellar mound effort with three hits. He also scored three times and drove in a run.
Kaleb Johnson chipped in two hits, two runs and an RBI. Jacob Tuten scored twice.
The Mustangs (5-2), who pounded 10 hits overall, will return to action Wednesday against Jenkins (3-1) at Savannah State University.
