South Effingham hosted teams from seven schools in its first cross meet of the season Thursday

Kristopher Gadsden and Isaiah Campbell
South's girls placed second behind Savannah Arts Academy. Their top five girls were Cheyenne Ryan, Mia Fitzpatrick, Lily McDonald, Madison Lockhart and Melanie Ripley.
