After falling into a first-inning hole, the South Effingham Mustangs dug themselves out and beat the Jenkins Warriors 4-3 at Savannah State University on Thursday.
Jenkins (3-2) plated three runs in the first fame but surrendered four in the second as South Effingham (6-2) tallied four in the second en route to its fourth straight win.
Phillip Cooper, Kaleb Johnson and Shane Chapman delivered RBI during the decisive rally. Another run scored on an outfield miscue.
Hunter Morgan was the winning pitcher. He scattered six hits in four innings without issuing a walk.
Nick Duke finished the contest on the mound with three perfect innings. He logged three strikeouts.
The Mustangs will host Southeast Bulloch today at 6 p.m.
