OReilly All-Stars to visit OSP next weekend

The O’Reilly Southern All Star Racing Series will visit Oglethorpe Speedway Park on July 6 for the 2nd Annual Independence Triple Crown.

There also will be double points feature only racing for the Love’s Seafood Street Stocks, Southern Racing Supplies Pure Stocks, Red Diamond Homes Mini Stocks and Four Star Security 440s.

Gates will open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 6 p.m. Racing starts at 7:30 p.m.

OSP is taking its mid-season break this weekend.

GUYTON, Ga. — South Effingham girls’ basketball overwhelmed Calvary Day 67-11 on Friday. The Cavaliers managed just three field goals all game. Junior guard Kailyn Chapman scored a game-high 24 points, including 22 in the first half, fueling an 18-0 run that gave the Mustangs a 27-2 lead. Junior forward Alayiah Lewis added 12 points.

 The win marked SEHS’s fourth consecutive victory, improving their record to 4-1.
