Former South Effiingham High School baseball standouts Josh Reddick and Austin Chambliss have completed their respective minor league seasons.

Reddick, who was promoted to Double-A Portland on Sept. 3, went 0-for-5 for the Sea Dogs in their 3-1 Eastern League Northern Division playoff series loss to the Trenton Thunder.

Chambliss pitched for the Colorado Rockies’ Single-A team Tri-City Dust Devils in the Northwest League’s playoffs.

The Dust Devils lost the five-game series 3-1 to the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes.

In Chambliss’ sole appearance, he earned the save in a 3-2 win to open the series.

Colorado Rockies Director of Player Development Marc Gustafson said Chambliss has a good chance of moving up to Single-A Asheville next season.
