Charlie Smiley shot a 34 and the Savannah Country Day Hornets took a three-way match with Effingham County and South Effingham at LaVida Golf Club on Thursday.

The Hornets finished with a total of 147, 10 strokes in front of Effingham. South Effingham had a 181 total. The Hornets had four golfers shoot under 40 for the match.

Wheaton Hall, Bateman Hall and Ryan Fletcher had matching 39s for the Rebels, and Walker Jenkins posted a 40. Matt Olliff paced South Effingham with a 44. Parker Spivey shot a 45 and Dennis Reddick and Taylor Landing each had a 46.

For the Effingham County girls, Stephanie Simmons carded a 40 and Chelsea McIntyre had a 57.

Brooke Capwell shot a 50 for the South Effingham girls, who also got a 52 from Lauren Chapman and a 57 from Ashlee Gordon.
