Every year the Effingham County 4-H staff rewards teachers and their students based on their individual and corporate classroom participation in various project areas.

Students are given an opportunity to generate points by participating in leadership skills, demonstrations, community service projects, and various competitions. At the close of the school year, points are tallied and the classes with the highest participation rate are awarded an ice cream party and plaque of recognition.

Tamara Nichols’ class won the club of the year award at South Effingham Middle School, Angela Shearouse’s class won at Ebenezer Middle and Lauren Ford’s class won the 4-H award for Effingham County Middle School.
