Guyton Elementary School celebrated the end of another school year by having its second annual art show April 29
“This fun, family event acts as a showcase to display each student’s artwork and creativity, as well as a fundraiser,” said art teacher Marcie Crosby.
Students had a special piece of artwork beautifully framed and displayed for all to view. Students’ work revolved around such artists as Piet Mondrian, Henri Matisse, Vincent van Gogh, Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky and Jennifer McDuffie.
These works were sold as a part of the fundraiser, and all proceeds earned go directly to the school’s art program. A traveling museum exhibit, sand art crafts, art picture movie and munchies were all a part of the night.
This annual event has become a part of the Guyton Elementary tradition that will be around for years to come.
