The Effingham County Board of Education's central offices will be closed in observance of the Christmas and New Year holidays on Dec. 24-26 and Jan. 1-2 and will re-open on Jan. 5. Please read below for information on registering news students over the holidays.

Parents of students who expect to begin attending an Effingham County school on Jan. 5, are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the Central Registration Center's holiday hours.* Those choosing to register on Jan. 5 may experience unusually long wait times.

Parents can assist in ensuring a smooth registration process by completing the required forms prior to enrolling and having all required documentation with them at the time of registration.

Registration forms and requirements can be found online at www.effinghamschools.com by selecting “Central Registration” beneath “Student Enrollment.” Appointments are encouraged and may be made by calling 754-2530.

*Processing through the Central Registration Office is only required for students new to Effingham County and those who have been off roll for more than 10 consecutive school days.

Students transferring directly from one Effingham school to another are not required to come to the Central Registration Center. They can be withdrawn at their former school and registered in person at their new school.
