Students were able to climb on board and sit behind the wheel of heavy-duty military vehicles during Blandford Elementary School’s annual career day on May 3.

The big vehicles from Fort Stewart were part of this year’s theme of “careers on wheels.” Students from each grade level also saw police cars, a fire truck, hearse, ambulance, freight truck and a SWAT vehicle.

In addition, several speakers visited BES’ classrooms to discuss their lines of work. Students learned about careers in a variety of fields including logistics, engineering, dentistry, taekwondo, aeronautics, scuba diving, law enforcement, nursing and the military.
