Jackson Lieber, a third grade student at Rincon Elementary School, won a backpack with school supplies from the Effingham Chamber of Commerce.  Parents were able to register their children at open house, and a book bag was given to a student at each school on Monday.

Effingham County High School introduced its new mascot, Rowdy the Rebel, this week. Inspired by popular sports mascots, Rowdy will appear at school events, pep rallies, and games, giving students a fresh way to engage and celebrate school spirit.
