Earley wins Bojangles Scholarship

Curtisha Earley of Springfield has been awarded a 2014 Bojangles’ Scholarship.

The $1,000 scholarship is supporting Earley’s continued education in her first year at Georgia Southern University.

A graduate of Effingham County High School, Earley will study nursing at GSU.

“We are proud that so many of our hard-working team members and their family members are taking steps to further their education,” said Bojangles’ president and CEO Clifton Rutledge. “It brings us great joy to help these deserving individuals along their educational career with the Bojangles’ Scholarship Award in honor of our co-founder, Mr. Jack Fulk. We wish all scholarship recipients a great semester and a bright future ahead.”

The scholarships are awarded annually and are available to all Bojangles’ team members and their immediate family members.

In its fourth year of the program this year, Bojangles’ selected qualified finalists from the applications submitted. Nine winners were chosen at random from this pool of finalists.

Effingham County High School introduced its new mascot, Rowdy the Rebel, this week. Inspired by popular sports mascots, Rowdy will appear at school events, pep rallies, and games, giving students a fresh way to engage and celebrate school spirit.
