Early registration suggested for Effingham schools
Placeholder Image

New residents to Effingham County are encouraged to register their children for enrollment in the Effingham County Public School System as early as possible before Aug. 9, which is the first day of the 2010-11 school term. Those who choose to register the last week before school starts may experience an extremely long wait.

The Central Registration Center will be open this summer from 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday. To register, call 754-2530 for an appointment and a list of required items needed for registration. This list can also be found on the school system’s district Web site at www.effinghamschools.com. The Central Registration Center is located across the street from the Board of Education offices at 205 N. Ash St. in Springfield.
