FBLA Trick or Treat

On Oct. 26, nine members from South Effingham High School Future Business Leaders of America went to the Backus Children’s Hospital at Memorial Hospital in Savannah to pass out Halloween treats. Each member donated a bag of candy, and SEHS business students assembled the bags.

The members had the privilege to “treat” about 25 children and infants. Members provided encouragement to the families as well to the patients.

This is one of many of the members’ community service projects. Taking holiday treats to the hospital has become a tradition for the SEHS FBLA Chapter and they cannot wait to plan their next trip.

Here's what the Turner family had to say about the students' visit to the Children's Hospital:

"I know that you guys brought a lot of smiles to lots of kids that day!  Our son had pyloris stenosis.  The doctors did surgery and we went home two days later.  I realize that not everyone on that floor was fortunate like we were.  We continue to count our blessings each day.  Please let your group know how much we appreciated them; not to mention the children that they came to see!!!  Thank you for your kindness and may the Lord continue to bless each one of you!” Michael, Laura, and Kaedyn Turner
