Girl Scout Cadette Troop 30358 and Brownie Troop 30225, both of Rincon, were visited by Effingham County Sheriff’s deputies and Port Wentworth Police officers and their service dogs.

The girls had an exciting night as the officers talked to the girls about the dangers of using drugs and held a demonstration with the service dogs. The girls got to witness the dogs search for drugs and watch a simulated attack on a person.

The visiting officers were Deputy Alvin Cantrell and Deputy Ryan Williams of the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office and Sgt. John Etzle and APO Brian Hunt of the Port Wentworth Police Department.
