Springfield Elementary School students attended the Ebenezer Alive! educational program on Sept. 30 for their annual field trip. Ebenezer Alive!, New Ebenezer Retreat Center staff and Georgia-Pacific provided three classes that the students attended.
These classes reinforced the concepts of the standards learned in their science class and taught information about soil, rocks and minerals, animals and their habitats, and conservation and recycling.
One of the students’ favorite activities was a hands-on experiment where they took a closer look at the different layers of soil. The teachers and students enjoyed the activities and information learned and hope to attend for future field trips.
