Local GSU students honored

Outstanding Georgia Southern University students were recognized at the annual Honors Day Ceremony held recently on the university’s campus.

Individual awards were presented to 156 students at the annual Honors Day ceremonies. Inductees into various honor societies were also recognized.

Honor’s Day is the University’s way of recognizing some of Georgia Southern’s best and brightest students, as well as their families.

Georgia Southern appreciates all of their hard work and contributions to the university.

Following is a list of area students who were recognized:

Kelli Cooler from Guyton received the Outstanding Scholar Graduating Senior Award

Stephen LaValley from Springfield received the Anthropology Award

Amanda Page from Guyton received the Outstanding Scholar Graduating Senior Award
