South Effingham High School will host a Georgia Apply to College program Nov. 4-5 in the media center from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. both days.

Seniors will receive hands-on assistance from volunteers – many of whom are from local colleges and universities, businesses and community organizations – as they navigate the college application process. The goal is for each student to successfully complete at least one college admission application using the GAcollege411.org website.

Georgia Apply to College is an annual program sponsored by Communities in Schools, the Georgia Department of Education, Georgia Independent College Association, Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education, Georgia Student Finance Commission, Technical College System of Georgia and University System of Georgia.

GAcollege411 is an online resource for students as they plan, apply and pay for college. The site provides application and financial aid information for Georgia’s public and private colleges and universities. In addition, it offers a number of tools students can utilize to track their progress in high school, take online test preparation courses, research high-demand careers and develop an online portfolio and resume.
