South Effingham Middle School eighth grade Roadrunners team held its second nine-week team awards on Dec. 19, honoring those students with perfect attendance, the highest average in each academic subject, highest AR points this nine-weeks, and those who met their AR goals. The team also gave out two most improved awards, citizenship award and principal’s award.

Last nine-weeks 16 students met or exceeded their AR goal and this nine-weeks 43 students met or exceeded their AR goal. Twenty-six students had perfect attendance.

Most improved awards: Garrett Keyes and Chelsea Hagy

Principal’s award: Brooke Davis

Citizenship award: Jason Saxon

Top AR award: Morgan Fowler

Math awards: Kristina Griffin, Maia Elwell, Jason Saxon and Shirley Headen

Science awards: Emilia Truluck (GT science), Caroline Spivey, Rachel Williams, Beverly Williams and Alyson Lindner

Language arts awards: Emilia Truluck (GT language arts), Caroline Spivey, Rachel Williams, Andrew Rushing and Cornella Green
