Members of the Effingham County High School Air Force JROTC “talk trash” after a couple of hours of campus cleanup one afternoon after school.
The group picked up approximately 125 pounds of the finest trash and garbage ECHS has to offer. One of the volunteers was overheard to say to an instructor “Business is really picking up.”
The school service was just one of over 40 school and community services the JROTC performed during the course of the school year. The almost 1,900 service hours was one of several goals the corps accomplished this year, on top of academic and graduation goals.
