South Effingham High School students Parker Gordy, Dallas McCorkendale and Matt Stier have been named Georgia Scholars.

The Georgia Scholar Award is presented by the Georgia Department of Education to outstanding students who have demonstrated themselves as being exceptional based on eight criteria outlined by the state. Criteria include grade point average, SAT/ACT score, evidence of leadership, and evidence of competitive interscholastic activities.
