Three from SEHSFBLAearn firsts at region competition

South Effingham High FBLA members participated in the recent Region Competition held in Jesup, with three of them earning first place finishes.

Emilia Truluck won first in Business Communication and Economics, Falguni Maisuria took sixth place in Business Math, Amber Duncan and Trey Atkins won second place in Entrepreneurship, Donald Quinones won first in Impromptu Speaking and Introduction to Business Communication, Cathy Tseng was seventh place in Intro to Technology Concepts, Connor Hixon took first in Personal Finance, and Brandon Cody earned second place in Public Speaking II.

These students will advance to state competition in March in Atlanta. Other students that participated in region competition included Kandice Nelson, Danielle Hightower, Ashley Jeffers, Emmanuel Morilla, Kristen Cremeans, Timothy Cody, Jordan Stroud, Morgan Hardigree, Jack Calvert, Halie McKirgan, Michaela VanGeel, and Forrest Collins.

Effingham Students Honored at Signing Ceremony

Effingham College and Career Academy and its partner Savannah Technical College celebrated four students - Ben Bothwell, Caleb Coburn, Immanual Jackson and Alex Smith, who earned positions at Gulfstream Aerospace.
Effingham College and Career Academy (ECCA), in partnership with Savannah Technical College, hosted a signing ceremony today to honor four graduating students who have completed the Gulfstream Aviation Pathway and officially signed employment agreements with Gulfstream Aerospace.
