Michaels to appear at First Friday

Acclaimed singer/songwriter Jon Michaels will appear at First Friday for Folk Music on March 7.

He replaces Blue Mother Tupelo, the group composed of Ricky and Micol Davis, after BMT ran into scheduling difficulties. BMT will appear at a later date.

Michaels will appear with instrumentalists Montana Skies and Savannah singer/songwriter Jason Bible.

Over the last 17 years, Jon Michaels has been writing songs for artist like Tracy Lawrence, Clint Black, Ty Herndon, Michael Peterson and many others as well as perfecting his own sound. Michaels just finished his third CD and it is getting great reviews and bringing a lot of new fans to his music. He has been asked to headline for the third time at one of the largest and most prestigious folk festivals, the Kerville Folk Festival in Texas in June.
