SAVANNAH — It’s tee time! The United Way of the Coastal Empire will host its 16th annual golf tournament on June 2 at Savannah Quarters Golf Club. Lunch will be provided at 11:30 a.m., with a 12:30 p.m. tee time. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams and low gross.
The golf tournament is instrumental in jumpstarting the 2008 United Way fundraising campaign, which raised over $8 million in 2007, while also building awareness of the community based programs and non-profit member agencies that United Way supports throughout the Coastal Empire.
Please contact Penny Cox, (912) 651-7720, for additional information on this fun-filled event.
All proceeds benefit the United Way of the Coastal Empire to support over 90 community oriented programs in Bryan, Chatham, Effingham and Liberty counties and fulfill its mission: “To improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities.”
